Julie Silver Talenfeld is the President of BoardroomPR , which she founded in 1989. Her public relations, advertising, and social media skills have evolved with – often ahead of – a changing marketing and communications landscape. As the president of one of the largest independent PR firms in the state she can also claim that BoardroomPR is one of the largest public relations firms in South Florida. Julie is a student of her art and a journalist at heart. She is a former CNN associate producer and the daughter of a CBS News national correspondent. Julie earned the distinguished Alumni of Distinction Award from her alma mater, the University of Florida: College of Journalism and Communications. Her pedigree provides an unparalleled news sense that translates to national and international media coverage to clients across many industries. She’s seen as a staunch brand ambassador for her clients and a well-connected source of invaluable business introductions.
She also has launched and operates three unique Facebook pages, delivering heightened coverage for clients in the legal and real estate industries and as the de facto “mayor” of Plantation, Fla. Respected among her clients, peers and the community alike, Julie was named by the South Florida Business Journal as among its Most Influential Business Women and BoardroomPR has been named to the paper’s Top 25 Corporate Giving and Top 25 Largest Women-Owned Businesses lists. A dedicated mother and philanthropist, Julie received the prestigious JAFCO Woman of Valor Award and Jacob’s Ladder Award for community advocacy, as well as Legal Aid’s Advocacy Award. She and her husband Howard were named Community Champions by Deliver the Dream and one of South Florida’s Leading Couples by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
